Peaches....In 1948 ,when Dave's parents immigrated from Scotland, they chose this site, overlooking the lake, knowing that it's western exposure would grow the tastiest fruit. Grandaddy Sloan always said
" If you can not see the lake, you can not grow soft fruit" This has proven so true for us. The gentle slope towards the lake gives us maximum sunshine and provides good air drainage, minimizing the risk of spring frosts. |
